Three cups of tea daily will decrease the need to go to the dentist.
Black tea is efficient against bacteria connected to caries and gum diseases.
Green tea also has a similar effect and helps in the fight against unpleasant bad breath because it neutralizes the compounds of sulfur in the mouth cavity which cause an unpleasant bad breath.
Namely, experts claim that three cups of tea a day will help to keep your teeth in good condition and reduce the risk of caries.
The analysis of existing studies found that black tea helps to suppress two types of bacteria – Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus – associated with the development of cavities and gum disease. The most effective dose thereby was three cups of tea a day, reveals the author of the study, Dr. Carrie Ruxton.
Dr. Ruxton, whose analysis were published in the Bulletin of the British Nutrition Foundation’s Nutrition Bulletin, says that there is strong evidence that drinking tea helps with tooth loss.
“Three to four cups of black tea per day lowers the level of bacteria in the mouth,” says Ruxton.
“When bacteria in the mouth react to carbohydrates, the acid which dissolves the tooth enamel is formed and that leads to damage, which could mean the loss of teeth. Black and green tea reduces the inflammation and prevents binding the growth of bacteria that stimulate this chain reaction, “says Ruxton.
Tea contains antioxidants known as flavonoids and catechins, which have antimicrobial activity. The study also confirmed that green tea can contribute to weight loss because it helps expedite the consumption of fats.
So drink tree cups of tea daily and save your teeth without going to dentist!
