Skin tags are benign, noncancerous tumors on the skin which cause no kind of pain or discomfort unless they are rubbed or scratched too much by clothing, jewelry, and when shaving. Large ones can also burst. They tend to appear where skin rubs against skin like on eyelids, armpits, breasts, neck, chest, and groin.
They’re generally harmless but they can definitely be unpleasant. Fortunately, you don’t need to go to the doctor to get rid of them. All you need is one ingredient to remove them without any bleeding or scarring.
The safest way to get rid of skin tags is to use apple cider vinegar, but there’s a catch: you may smell like vinegar. The trade-off to smelling like vinegar for a few days is getting rid of a skin tag that will be with you for life. I think that’s a fair trade.
Apple Cider Vinegar
There are eight steps to get rid of warts and skin tags only with Apple Cider Vinegar:
1.Clean the area around your skin tag using lukewarm water and mild soap.
3.Scratch the tag gently with a toothpick. This will make it more porous. Do not let it bleed.
4.Soak a small piece of cotton ball in apple cider vinegar. Squeeze out the excess vinegar.
5.Place the soaked cotton ball on the skin tag and hold it with a bandage.
7.Remove the bandage the next morning and rinse the area thoroughly with water.
8.Repeat it for 5 days or until the skin tag darkens, dries, and falls off.
You can also just put 2-3 drops of apple cider vinegar on a band-aid and cover your skin tag. Make sure you’ve got enough apple cider vinegar – it will gently “burn” off the skin tag. You may feel a slight stinging sensation when you first apply the ACV – this is normal.
The acid in the vinegar is mild and will remove your skin tag without scarring or burning. The mild vinegar is even enough to remove warts, although it may take a few days longer. If you experience any inflammation or irritation, please consult your doctor.
