Fight Cancer With These Four Delicious Smoothies

A balanced meal is essential when dealing with cancer or to have a cancer-free lifestyle. Particularly, some fruits and vegetables should be incorporated in the diet to reduce risk of cancer.

Below are recipes for smoothies that will help you prevent cancer. They are made with fruits and vegetables that are recommended by the American Cancer Society.  These healthy and delicious smoothies contain good quantity of antioxidants, vitamins and have cancer-fighting properties.

1.Citrus and Tea


  • 1.5 cup of home brewed green tea
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 orange

Combine the ingredients in a blender.


Green tea and citrus are known for reducing the risk of ovarian cancer. They contain antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and alkalizing properties, and also calcium, iron, folic acid, and vitamins (A, C).

2. Apple, Banana and Broccoli


  • 2 large handfuls of broccoli
  • 1 apple
  • 1 banana
  • 1½ cups alkaline water

Combine the ingredients in a blender.

Benefits: These ingredients contain antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and alkalizing properties, together with vitamins (A, C, K), omega-3s, potassium, chlorophyll.

3. Strawberries and Kale


1 ½ cups of coconut water

1 cup of strawberries

2 large handfuls of kale

2 tablespoons of chia seeds


Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix well.

4. Mangoes and Berries


  • 1.5 cups mangoes
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • Almond or Soy Milk

Benefits: Mangoes contain bioactive compounds that have anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. According to studies, mangoes help in fighting colon and breast cancer.
