Throw An Aspirin into the Washing Machine. The Effect is Perfect!

No matter how much you strive to properly wash white laundry, sometimes you make a mistake. As a result, the feared greyness appears. And once this greyness appears, with every wash, your clothes seem to become greyer and greyer. However, there is a solution to this problem and it’s located in your medicine cabinet. It’s aspirin.

All you need is 325g of aspirin tablets. Let them dissolve in 2 gallons of hot water. You can speed up this process by breaking up the tablets.

Next, put your greyish clothes in the solution and let them soak for a minimum of 8 hours, but overnight is probably the best.

You’ll need to make sure your clothes are completely submerged, otherwise spots will form on your clothes. Alternatively, you can simply toss the aspirin in the washing machine, but it’s safer to just dissolve it first.

After letting your clothes soak, you can either dry it, or put them through a normal cycle in the machine. Apart from getting rid of greyness, aspirin is also great for removing stains.

For removing blood stains, you’ll need to dissolve aspirin in cold water, and soak the clothes for 2 hours.

You should never attempt to remove blood stains with cold water.  The protein in the blood will clump, and make the stain even more difficult to remove.

The acid inside aspirin generates great effect. You don’t need to buy overpriced specialty cleaning products if you have a couple of tablets in your medicine cabinet.
